Bolt, Fraser-Pryce favourites as JustBet releases Olympic betting odds
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Supreme Ventures today released its Olypmic betting odds, through their JustBet brand.
Odds are now out for the men’s and women’s 100m and 200m races; Swimming; Basketball; Football and Tennis.
JustBet odds have also been released for the country winning the most medals, most gold medals and Jamaica’s total medal count.
In the men’s 100m, defending champion and World Record holder Usain Bolt is the favourite at odds of 1.55 (or 11/20), followed by World Champion and compatriot Yohan Blake at odds of 2.75 (or 7/4). Tyson Gay is favoured at odds of 15.00 (or 14/1), while Justin Gatlin is at odds of 25.00 (or 24/1). Asafa Powell is listed at odds of 30.00 (or 29/1).
In the men’s 200m Bolt is again the favourite at odds of 1.40 (or 2/5), followed by Blake at odds of 2.90 (or 19/10) and American Wallace Spearmon at odds of 18.00 (or 17/1).
In the women’s 100m defending champion and Jamaica’s National Record holder Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is favoured at odds of 2.40 (or 7/5), while arch-rival and World Champion, American Carmelita Jeter is next at odds of 3.25 (or 9/4). Veronica Campbell-Brown is listed at odds of 6.00 (or 5/1), followed by Nigerian Blessing Okagbare at odds of 9.00 (or 8/1), Allyson Felix at odds of 12.00 (or 11/1), Kelly-Ann Baptiste at odds of 20.00 (or 19/1) and Kerron Stewart at odds of 40.00 (or 39/1).
In the Women’s 200m Felix, the four time World Champion in the event, is the favourite to win gold at odds of 1.55 (or 11/20), followed by Jeter and defending Olympic champion Campbell-Brown, both at odds of 7.50 (and 13/2). Sanya Richards-Ross is listed at odds of 9.00 (or 8/1), as is Fraser-Pryce, who claimed the sprint double at the 2012 Jamaican Trials.
Odds on other track and field events will be released on Thursday.
