Anne Hathaway shows off healthier figure in a classy black dress
She recently revealed she shed 24 pounds in a month to play prostitute Fantine in the film version of Les Miserables. But Anne Hathaway is showing off a decidedly healthier-looking figure these days, and showed it off to full effect last Thursday as she stepped out looking elegant in New York City. The 29-year-old star sported a chic black fringed dress and matching heels for an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman. Sporting matching black high heels, Anne happily met waiting fans, signing autographs in the sunshine. The actress is busy promoting her new movie The Dark Knight Rises in which she plays Catwoman in the last instalment of the Christopher Nolan-directed trilogy which stars Christian Bale as the caped crusader. Following her stint in the skin-tight catsuit, the actress went on to drastically lose weight to play tragic Fantine in the upcoming movie musical which co-stars Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman. However, she has said such stringent dieting ‘wasn’t fun.’ She told Contact Music: “I lost the first 4.5kg in three weeks through a detox and then I lost the subsequent 7kg in 14 days by doing food deprivation and exercise, which I don’t recommend.”
“I know when I was a teenage girl … I would try crazy things and I do not recommend anyone do this at all.”

Yoga’s hard for me, but I know you can really feel the difference when you do it consistently. I’d rather be playing basketball. So anyway, that sort of got me into the mode. It feels better to be healthy.” He admitted he gained weight while starring in a play so went to a yoga hiking camp in Brazil to shed the pounds. Meanwhile, the actor is still basking in a newlywed glow after tying the knot in Hawaii in April. The star also told Glamour he was impressed with the skills of co-stars Joe and Matthew, but couldn’t decide who was the better stripper. “Joe Manganiello is a natural but Matthew McConaughey has the experience — I think it’s a toss-up between the two,” he said. Meanwhile, Channing also threw his hat in the ring for the role of sexy billionaire Christian Grey for the film version of the smash hit book series 50 Shades of Grey – but with a condition attached. When asked if he would play the protagonist in the adaptation of the trilogy by E L James, he responded: “1) Yes 2) I’d only be allowed if my wife was Ana. She’s read the books so I don’t think she’d be impressed if she couldn’t be Ana!'” His wife Jenna Dewan is a dancer and actress whom he met on the set of 2006 movie Step Up and who accompanied him to the London screening last Wednesday.
