Pepper Pot: Unaccustomed to customs
Word is, it may be easier to get blood out of stone than to try to get the name of an airport Customs officer who has treated someone a little unfairly. Their supervisors seem reluctant to budge and everyone else is so tight-lipped it’s no wonder people are getting a little curious.
Incidents and accidents
Whilst some are sympathising over what’s been called the ‘second accident’, many others are having an outright bellyache ’cause they’re hearing that it’s neither the second nor the third.
Too picky
It is being said that the long anticipated replacement hasn’t taken effect because the preferred pick is not yet available, and as long as there’s a chance for that pick then people seem willing to wait. So the question remains, how long before it becomes too long?
Rock law
Self-respecting Jamaicans are still bemoaning the fact that Dudus, who was able to walk about so freely, was sought out, chained and locked away so convincingly by Uncle Sam. They say they’re somewhat comforted that good did prevail over that evil, but the question remains about the quality of justice on the Rock.
And those big guns…
Listening to some people talk, one would think that Tivoli Gardens was a haven of peaceful, Sunday School-going people. So where did those big guns come from? The people who are advocating an inquiry might be embarrassed if they get their way.
