Cummings leads in Class 1 long jump
WOLMERS Boys’ Adam Cummings is the leader in the Boys Class 1 long jump after this mornings’ first full session of the ISSA/Grace Kennedy Boys and Girls Champs at the national stadium.
Cummings who was fourth last year while representing Munro College, jumped 7.08m to top the 12 boys who will advance to this afternoon’s final, one of two on the boys side.
Kingston College’s Keneil Grant, who was second last year, is second after the preliminaries with 7.04m with Munro College’s Lincoln carter who jumped 6.99m.
The other qualifiers are- Akiem Williams of Holmwood Technical, Clive Pullen of Kingston College, Javari Fairclough of Calabar High, Maulford Smith of Wolmers Boys, Sharlanjo Nelson of Jamaica College, Ifeanye Otuonye of Munro College, Sadekie Edie of Calabar, Debarie Spence of Excelsior High and Nicholas Phynn of Jamaica College.
