Wealth Magazine to go bi-monthly from April
Creative Media and Events bosses Garth Walker and Leighton Davis launched Wealth Magazine in March 2009 at the Fiction lounge with a vision that showcases the best of Jamaican business lifestyle.
At the time, the business environment was barely conducive to sustaining or even creating wealth but they had hopes of inspiring people to look at entrepreneurship differently.
A “financial lifestyle” publication, the magazine was created to spur further interest in the business world and revive the market in the midst of a recession.
With the 10th issue being released this month, Wealth Magazine will now make the bold move to go bi-monthly rather than continue as a quarterly publication. Chairman of Creative Media and Events Garth Walker said, “With the success of the magazine, we have decided to increase our publication to eight times a year from the usual four, starting with the 11th issue to be released in April.”
The Wealth Magazine team is being expanded to create an even greater skilled sales team. The management of Wealth Magazine has decided to up the ante and will now be actively looking to heighten the visibility of the brand as it moves to billboard and radio advertisements. It will now seek to increase its current 80 per cent Kingston- centric distribution to encompass the north coast and soon, island-wide.
Seeking to offer a greater value for advertisers, nearly a thousand issues of Wealth Magazine are distributed to corporate Jamaica at no cost. Walker proclaimed, “Each issue of Wealth Magazine is read on average 7 times, giving advertisers a recurring visibility with the audience.”
