Man bashes elderly father in head during dispute
A senior citizen was seriously injured after his son bashed him on the forehead with a blunt object resulting in the victim receiving nine stitches.
The accused man, Maxwell Edwards who has been charged for the wounding with intent of his father, Dudley Edwards, appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Police report that the father and son were involved in a domestic dispute and the younger Edwards used a blunt object to hit his father on the center of his forehead.
Edwards argued that his father provoked him and hit him first and he retaliated.
The case will again be mentioned again on March 1.
