Now to the future, together
Dear Editor,
Jamaicans waited with bated breath for the general election yesterday. Assuming that it ended as peacefully as it began, I would like to commend the candidates and their constituents for the manner in which they operated as they sought not to drag the Jamaican politics back to the squalid state of the 1980s.
As we reposition ourselves to make Jamaica “the place of choice to live, work, raise families and do business”, let us move steadfastly into the future with our newly elected leaders as they bring to the fore their varying qualities that will empower the constituents whom they will represent in Gordon House and help restrategise brand Jamaica.
Hats off to the political ombudsman Bishop Herro Blair and the National Integrity Alliance League (NIAL) for their hard work and dedication to the weeding out of garrison politics.
Jamaicans, let us work together to make Jamaica “the place of choice to live, work, raise families and do business”.
