A curfew has been imposed in sections of the Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland area. The curfew began 10:00 pm yesterday and will remain in effect until Friday.

The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:

North from the lower section of Dalling Street to the intersection of Seaton Street and Dalling Street;

East from the intersection of Seaton Street and Dalling Street onto                        Beckford Street, Barracks Road and all the way to the intersection of Smithfield and Wharf Road;

South from the intersection of Smithfield and Wharf Road, onto Wharf Road into the Russia community, then travel onto Hudson to the intersection of Hudson and Cooke Street; and

West from the intersection of Hudson and Cooke Street, along Cooke Street onto Great George Street, then travel along Great George Street onto Nesbeth Street, to the intersection of Dalling Street and Nesbeth Street, then to the lower section of Dalling Street.

During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain in their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the member of the security forces who is in charge of enforcing the curfew.
