Stern nominated
JAMAICA Labour Party representative for North West Clarendon Michael Stern, was nominated as a candidate shortly after 1:00 pm at the division’s electoral office.
A huge crowd of Jamaica Labour Party supporters stormed the square to offer encouragement to Stern, who made his way past a group of heavily armed soldiers and up the stairs to the office.
Stern turned in his relevant information and paid is application fee with six $500 bills, electoral workers reported.
His opponent, People’s National Party (PNP) representative, Richard Azan, has not yet turned up to be nominated.
Stern then lead his huge turnout of supporters on a tour through the Nine Turns, Lesterfield, Coffee Piece and Bryan’s Hill communities in the constituency.
