A job well done
Dear Editor,
Sincere thanks to former Prime Minister Bruce Golding and Minister of Labour and Social Security Pearnel Charles.
On December 20, 2010, I wrote a letter to Mr Golding, asking him to use his good office to place the picture of the late LG Newland on the NIS pension books.
Mr Newland was the founder of the scheme while he was the minister of labour and social security in 1965.
And furthermore, it will be a good thing to show how well we as a nation appreciate a job well done, in the field of nation building and in the growth of our economy.
I am very happy to have seen my request for the picture of the Late LG Newland (Honey Boy) on the Pension Order Books become a reality. Once again, many thanks to both gentlemen and their staff for a job well done – not only in our time but one which will live on into future generations.
Thank you so much, gentlemen.
