A Taste of Jamaica
Food lovers are set to have a blast this Heroes weekend in the second city when the Montego Bay Convention Centre hosts the Taste of Jamaica showcase on October 15 and 16. The event, mounted by the Culinary Federation of Jamaica, will feature an array of contemporary Jamaican cuisine. The two-day event will include a wedding cake demonstration, ice-carving demonstration, Lionfish demonstration, fruit and vegetable-carving demonstration as well as ice carving, bartending and chef of the year competitions, among a host of other activities. The showcase will culminate with a cocktail party and awards presentation. Admission fee to the event for adults is $400 while students with ID will pay $300. A special two-day rate package is also being offered at $600 for adults and $400 for students.
