VCB beaten by Jeter again

JAMAICA’S sprint queen Veronica Campbell-Brown again had to settle for second behind world champion Carmelita Jeter in the 100 metres at the final IAAF Diamond League meet of the season in Brussels, Belgium today.

Campbell-Brown clocked 10:85 behind Jeter’s 10:76. Kelly-Ann Baptiste of Trinidad was third in a season’s best 10.90.

The result means that Jeter finishes first in the Diamond League standings with Campbell-Brown the runner-up and Baptiste third.

Campbell-Brown’s compatriot Isa Phillips finished seventh in the 400 metres hurdles.
