Made in Jamaica… for FNO!
Fashionistas across the island are counting the hours until Thursday, when the Jamaica OBSERVER CELEBRATES FASHION’S NIGHT OUT (FNO) on September 8. So, too, are our local designers. What with the one-night shopping extravaganza drawing even closer, you will, we’re sure, appreciate the fact that a few of our home-grown talents have partnered with chic ateliers to offer massive discounts for the occasion. SO shares a sneak peek at Peace-is of Bianca designer and Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship beneficiary, Bianca Bartley and Slovakia-born women’s wear designer Lubica — whose pieces can be found exclusively at kerrymanwomanhome for 10 to 20 per cent off on FNO. Feast your eyes…
Blue — by Lubica
Who can forget the iconic flower adorning each dress when Lubica debuted her collection at Caribbean Fashion Week (CFW) 2008? Well, just
in case you haven’t yet added one of these local-celeb-loved designs to your wardrobe, Lubica is revisiting one of her first, and most successful collections when the Jamaica OBSERVER CELEBRATES FASHION’S NIGHT OUT (FNO) on Thursday with the über-fab Retro Blue collection. “Most people know or remember me by the flower, and still ask me about it, so since I haven’t used it in a while, I’ve decided to reintroduce it for this year’s FNO,” the statuesque beauty shared with SO. And at 10 to 20 per cent off, we’re pretty sure they will be flying off the racks at lightning speed.
The Peace-is of Bianca Heirloom Collection
She’s known for her head-turning accent pieces, so naturally, Bartley will be treating her clients to a limited-edition pre-release of her Christmas
collection dubbed ‘Heirloom’. The FNO-ready collection will feature the debut of her fantabulous ‘Dining Peace-is’. Think bejewelled cocktail plates, platters and serving trays featuring agates, dome brass and opalite, and set in sanded, polished or hammered brass. There will be, too, her new-on-the-shelves Tuxedo Cuffs and a small collection of tribalinspired bangles made of silk, leather and various eye-popping textiles. And with no more than six of each on sale, we recommend that you place your orders now!
