To say Jane Carter knows a thing or two about hair would be putting it mildly. The creator of the eponymous haircare line, Carter formulated the products more than a decade ago to treat her tresses after developing an allergic reaction to the chemicals in the hair products she used. The Jane Carter Solution line came about as the enterprising hairstylist began to experiment with a host of botanical oils, sea botanicals and natural proteins. She discovered that these natural ingredients were light and effective on all hair types and textures and went about making them.

Carter, who’s due on The Rock for the fashion extravaganza that is Jamaica OBSERVER CELEBRATES FASHION’S NIGHT OUT on September 8, is favourably regarded as an expert in taming frizz, soothing scalps, twisting, wrapping and locking as well as colouring ethnic hair.
