THE Jamaica OBSERVER CELEBRATES FASHION’S NIGHT OUT (FNO) on September 8, 2011, and as the biggest day in retail draws closer our FNO Road Show rolled into Spanish Town and Portmore Tuesday last, to register the final set of stores from those towns. Here’s what the retailers had to say:

Fashionista: FNO provides an opportunity for customers to get great discounts for one night. If I could have it my way, it would be an entire weekend. It was good last year, though most people went to Kingston. This year there will be refreshments, music and lots of discounts at Fashionista.

Just for Starz Multimedia Entertainment Store: FNO is just an excellent concept to have in Jamaica. People will come in and look at what you offer and I hope they will also make some purchases. I look forward to the rush and the excitement it brings. We will be sure to offer heavy discounts.

The Blvd: FNO is a great concept, as customers will get trendy fashion at a reasonable rate. For instance, there will be 50 per cent off onclothing and up to 70 per cent off on some footwear. Outfits may be grouped for discounts as well. I’m looking forward to the customers and the exposure the store will receive.

Little and Sassy: There was not really a buzz around Portmore last year. I hope that the experience will be better this year as FNOis a great idea for consumers and retailers alike.

Debbie’s Catwalk: Last year’s FNO was great. There was an increase in sales and with more exposure this year Portmore should do even better. I hope to top last year.

Fashion Depot: FNO is a good way to promote the business. It will be a sure way to increase sales, promote goods, the variety of top brands and most importantly the store itself. This is our second year being a part of FNO. It has been a huge success!

Discount Gifts & Jewellers: This is my second time participating in FNO and I had to do it again because last year was great. The sales improved on that day significantly. We also treated customers to music as they browsed around. We hope to do bigger and better things this year for our valued customers.
