In addition to her engaging stage ‘swag’ this high-riding certified diva of the dancehall has an endearing sense of style.

Dancehall deejay Tifa’s style sense is something all of her own doing. From funky colours to bold prints and accent pieces, she knows how to catch the eye. “The best way to describe my style is different. I really don’t like wearing things that everyone is into, and so I don’t follow fashion, I truly wear what I like,” she declared.

So what does Tifa like at this time?

Her current fashion passion is jumpsuits. “I have always liked that look from back in the day so I am happy its back. I remember looking at Catwoman and saying I like that outfit,” she explains.

As Tifa explains accessories are a must-have for any certified diva. Right now she is really loving a bracelet with the word ‘oui’ inscribed. She describes it as being simply her.

Thanks to the Tv series and movie Sex and the City, women just seem to love shoes even more these days and Tifa is no different. “I just love my flats. I have them in every colour, pointed and round toe… I just love them. I don’t do stilettos, but when I need some height I go for a good wedge. Wedges offer me height plus support. Plus I couldn’t talk about my love for shoes without talking about sneakers. My Converse and Nikes with a pair of jeans — swag tun up!,” she states.

With the Jamaica Observer set to celebrate Fashion’s Night Out on September 8, Tifa revealed that she gets a number of her pieces from her favourite store in the Corporate Area, Posh, located in Baron’s Plaza. “They really know my style, the pieces are unusual and trendy and because they are mostly sourced from the US west coast — home to Hollywood and the stylish set, Tifa she the pieces are extra special.

I little dab of a special scent is always completes a woman and Tifa says these days her preferred perfume is Princes by Vera Wang.

Her parting shot on style to persons out there is one word — comfort.
