Alaine’s Style Notes
The stunning songstress Alaine Laughton sweeps into Trendi Editions and without missing a beat becomes a perfect fit in an afternoon conversation with complete strangers. This is the magic of Alaine a fresh naivety as it were with a smile that dazzles a room — even a suite of rooms filled with must-have designs. Her charm, humility, accessibility and talent — she writes, plays the piano and sings is we reckon why she remains in constant demand for tours. Her recently concluded All-Female Tour was she shares “a good one” affording her the opportunity to work alongside Patra and Spice. There was too, Dallas and Kansas as well as Moonsplash in Anguilla with that memorable cosy shot of her alongside John Mayer “Hmmm John Mayer” is all we get from her as she blushes and quickly changes the subject to her uncanny ability to connect with her audience “I’m able to identify with love on many different levels”, she states. Indeed she can — think No Ordinary Love, Sacrifice Me & You.
Laughton is excited about her upcoming album, which she hopes to release in early Spring “Or possibly before, you never know”. The album will be launched under her own record label 1thirty1. This will be her third album and she deems it “My best work without a doubt”. The album will have a mixture of everything the songbird has experienced over the past seven years and if her last two singles, You are Me and Tahrir Square are anything to go by, Alaine whose next stop is St Kitts followed by Dubai later this year will have lots more reason to break into smile.
