Kingston, Jamaica – The Friends of Devon House will host its annual fund-raising dinner on Thursday, June 30, 2011 on the property’s East Lawn.

Billed as “Midsummer Magic Under the Stars” the event will feature an elegant six-course dinner catered by noted chef and restaurateur Mario Machado. The evening will include a fine art Dutch auction and noted violinist Kingsley DePass will serenade guests during dinner. Warm & Easy featuring Wayne Armond will also provide music during the evening.

The evening’s cocktails will be sponsored by Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum.

Friends of Devon House is a philanthropic committee dedicated to fundraising for the restoration and promotion of the historic mansion. It is chaired by businesswoman Gloria Palomino, with other members being Janette Stewart, Paula Creary, Marilyn Bennett, Ardelle Dalla Costa, Beverly Levy, Jean Lowrie-Chin, Novia McDonald-Whyte, Mandy Melville, Dennis Morgan and Ann-Marie Wyss.
