Hot-ticket, Foodie Seminar A Success
The annual Foodie Seminar that precedes the Jamaica Observer Food Awards is a must-do annual event for many food industry players. This year’s seminar, themed “Get Up, Get Driven, Get Creative! The Possibilities are Endless”, was no different. Movers and shakers, food proprietors, socialites, and culinary students descended on the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel’s Port Antonio Suite yesterday for insider information about the newly established Tracks and Records at The Marketplace by Kingston Live Entertainment Group and tips on successful entertaining from socialite extraordinaire and attorney-atlaw Paula Kerr-Jarrett. There was, too, Solomon Sharpe of Main Event Entertainment whose presentation explored the ways in which we can use technology to generate hype for events, and our Canadian Food Awards guest chef Roger Mooking brilliantly closed the day with honest and inspirational tales of his journey to becoming a celebrity chef. Thursday Food shares details from the event.
