When Donnie Bunting, owner of Longville Park Farms Limited, decided to diversify his farm operations, he knew that to capture the market he wanted, it would have been ideal to collaborate. He then turned to Dr Paul Robertson, a farm operator of MCP Farms Limited in St Ann who wholeheartedly agreed with the plan.
This two-man merger later led to the inclusion of Dan Kelly and Richard Peters, owners of Goodwill Farms Limited and Midlands Farm Limited respectively.
The farmers of VIP MEATS collectively have over 110 years total experience in quality meat production. In recent times the name of one of the principals has been synonymous with quality fresh tilapia products. They are now very excited to introduce to the public at large premium lamb offerings!
Specialising in the production, processing and marketing of lamb, the farmers are the main local suppliers of lamb to the hospitality sector. The farms combined account for approximately 65 per cent of the sheep production in Jamaica.
Most of Jamaica’s lamb is sourced overseas in five different grades.
VIP Meats offers only the top three grades as several importers are already offering the lower grades. Because our competition is far overseas, we are able to offer the top grades of lamb locally for about the price of the middle grade sold internationally. VIP Suckling and Choice Lamb come with a tenderness guarantee! They do not feed, inject or implant antibiotics or hormones in our lambs.
