KFC does FISH with a twist!
Just in time for the Lenten season KFC has introduced its newest product — the Fish Twister. The snack is made of two spicy fish fillets wrapped in a toasted tortilla, and garnished with lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise and melted cheeses. Sold for $375 for the twister alone and $485 for a combo including fries and soda, KFC’s marketing manager Tina Myers Matalon told Thursday Food the fish twister “has surpassed initial projections for the product and has been well received by customers”. The manager added that the fish twister and iTwist, which was launched in January, both continue to enjoy higher unit sales than expected. Based on the success of the two items, Matalon revealed that they are to become permanent fixtures on the restaurant chain’s menu offerings.
