Jim Carrey turns ballerina in hilarious Black Swan spoof on Saturday Night Live
Jim Carrey has unleashed his inner Black Swan in a hilarious spoof for Saturday Night Live. The comic actor dressed up in a black leotard and tutu to channel Mila Kunis’s seductress character of Lily. Carrey played a squawking and hissing femme fatale who in the movie tormented the more innocent character Nina, played by Natalie Portman. The 48-year-old made a very unattractive woman as he strutted into the ballet studio saying, “Sorry I’m late. I had to go numbers 3 and 4.” When he sheds his jacket, instead of having angel wings he reveals chicken-wing-like tattoos on his shoulder blades and made his presence felt. He announced, “Get ready to rock, bitches,” as he started flailing around clumsily and looked more like a headless chicken running around rather than a graceful swan.
When Carrey’s character is rejected for the lead role he looks into the camera and says, “Once you go Black.. Swan – you never go back… Swan.” The actor then appears in the White Swan make-up and crown – but looks decidedly like a haggard drag queen. This latest episode of the skit show brought in the highest ratings since Betty White’s appearance with Jay-Z in May 2008. Black Swan is already creating Oscar buzz and has made over $60 million in box office revenue since its release two weeks ago.

Amy Winehouse returns to the stage in fine form for comeback gig in Brazil
She has been rarely seen on stage in recent years, but Amy Winehouse took to the mic in South America Saturday night to do what she does best. The 27-year-old singer was looking healthier than ever as she took to the stage for the performance in Brazil. Dressed in a pink and white gingham dress which a dipping neckline, Amy wore her hair in a ponytail and not her trademark bee-hive, appearing fresh-faced with her signature liquid eyeliner in place. The Back to Black singer belted out a number of tunes from her back collection and performed a number of covers at the Summer Soul Festival in Florianópolis. Despite the small hiccups, Amy’s set was wellreceived and the singer smiled at the crowd’s reaction. Amy’s mood may have been lifted by the knowledge that the show, one of five scheduled for Brazil, has netted her £1million, meaning the short tour will rake in £5million overall, according to reports by The Sun.

Harrison Ford tramples over Rachel McAdams’ flowing red dress at movie premiere
In Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford plays the leading man, taking on the deadliest challenges with the greatest of ease. But the 68-year-old actor proved he has left well and truly behind perhaps his most famous role, as he literally put his foot in it while trampling over Rachel McAdams’ flowing red dress at the Morning Glory premiere in Berlin Sunday night. While McAdams quickly realised there was an ageing adventurer standing on her train, Ford was a bit quicker to acknowledge his faux pas, looking stunned as it eventually dawned on him that he had nearly disrobed his leading lady. McAdams, 32, opted for a stunning red Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2011 red dress with black trim and matching heels for the event, teaming the outfit with a pair of gold hoop earrings and lashings of pillarbox red lipstick. While the Michael Kors gown is not yet available to buy, they tend to range in price up to around $3,000, so Ford perhaps needs to be slightly more careful as he tours the globe promoting the new film with his beautiful co-star.
