Airport worker accused of luggage theft
MONTEGO BAY, St James — An employee of the Sangster International Airport who was allegedly found with several items after being seen going through checked luggage had his bail extended when he
appeared in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrates Court last week.
Twenty-nine-year-old Eric James of a Latium District address in St James was charged with unlawful possession when he was held on October 18.
Allegations are that James who has access to a secured area of the airport where bags are stored before being taken to the airplane, was seen going through a bag and was held with several items.
The owner of the bag was summoned but reported nothing missing.
James will return to court on February 1 next year.
