SOS Children’s Village to benefit from annual fair
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Organisers of this year’s 10th staging of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s International Food Fair & Bazaar have announced that part proceeds from the event will be donated to the island’s SOS Children’s Village.
The fair which is expected to attract a wide cross section of persons from across Western Jamaica will be held for the first time on the grounds of the Rose Hall Great House in Montego Bay on Sunday.
“The expo is aimed at promoting Jamaican businesses, forging new partnerships and networking opportunities, while showcasing the best of West Jamaica’s goods and services,” the chamber said in a release.
According to the chamber, activities will include dance contests, silent auction, a fashion show and bounce-about. A wide variety of food and drink will be available, the chamber said.
The Chokey Taylor Band will provide music for the expected bumper crowd.
