LIME, Green & Grub Part 1
The jovial atmosphere at Caymanas Golf and Country Club was a quaint match for the cool afternoon temperatures last Sunday. Those attending LIME’s Amateur Golf Tournament and cook-off, conceptualised by SportsMax, were treated to friendly rivalry among the six teams competing not only on the green but on the grill as well.
Chicken, beef and pork, compliments of Caribbean Broilers, were fired up on the grill, and the competing chefs (Advantage Generals versus Appleton Buccaneers, LIME Lions versus JMMB Eagles, and Sportsmax Max Pack versus Pure Country Springs) squared off in teams of two to whip up their best for a judging panel comprised newlyweds, Brian George and Keneea Linton, Jamaica Observer’s Chief Executive Officer Edward Khoury, Melanie Henry, Chris Hamilton and Wayne Vaz.
Thursday Food was on hand as the chefs lovingly tended to their meats, sending fragrant scents wafting through the afternoon air and leaving patient patrons salivating.
