Of Passing On… Birth in Fort Lauderdale… & Storm Brewing Out West
What a week! The sudden passing of our beloved culinary icon Norma Shirley, followed by Professor Barry Chevannes. And yes, there was Tomas, too. The whole question of succession planning immediately comes to the fore, not to mention who’s next between now and December 31.
Meanwhile, in Fort Lauderdale…
He had penned the song about said ‘Brown Girl’ in Ocho Rios, this naturally ahead of the very public reconciliation and yes, after the very upset browning had kicked him out. Anyway, the ‘travel agent’ delivered a look-alike in Fort Lauderdale two weeks ago. Did somebody just say “I’m okay!”
Back on The Rock
Whispers are getting louder that the banker’s days are numbered.
You know things are hard when…
Why are folks so awful? Surely they were not seen returning hurricane supplies and NO, they did not cancel the cheque!
Of course we knew, but…
It’s best to leave that one alone, at least for now.
Storm Brewing Out West
They’re trying their best to smooth things over in the west, but owners are not happy with the final product. What was promised has not been delivered and with money so tight (globally) there are fears that, well, the partner is exposed! I mean, after the physical altercation that took place last week, and as if to exacerbate the problem, there’s a US$2-million outstanding debt to the subcontractor. Did somebody just say ‘pop right down’?! With today, Monday, being D-Day, the shivers are the result of more than just the cold front.
À Bientôt!
PS Hip hip hooray! There’s going to be a new Chaser’s in town. Welcome back, George McLeish.
PPS Tastee Talent Trail last week Saturday had us all buckled over with laughter. I mean, Ms Nora Grant’s rendition of Kiss Me Honey, Honey, Kiss Me was priceless!
