Western Confed Super League set for kick-off
MONTEGO BAY, St James — The 2010/11 season of the Captain’s Bakery Western Confederation Super League is set to kick off on November 7 with a triple header at Jarrett Park, weather permitting.
Twelve teams, including four new-comers, will contest the competition which will see the winners advancing to the four-team play-off for two places in the Digicel Premier League next season.
Additionally, the winners will pocket $150,000 plus the Captain’s Bakery trophy, while the runners-up will get $75,000; third to collect $50,000, with fourth down to get $35,000.
Last season’s runners-up, Seba United, will lead the teams, which will include Catherine Hall FC, Frome FC, Bamboo FC, Granville FC, Wadadah FC, Mt Pelier FC and Exidos FC. The newcomers are Harmony FC of Trelawny, Tomorrow’s People SC of St James, Cousin’s Cove United of Hanover and Russia FC of Westmoreland.
