Celebrating its 50th year, Campion College honours the Jesuit Fathers on Saturday, November 6, 2010 with a Thanksgiving Mass at Sts Peter & Paul Church at 5:00 pm, followed by a reunion reception for alumni at the Knutsford Court Hotel at 6:30 pm. The reception will include an art auction featuring work by prominent Jamaican artists, Christopher Gonzalez, Carl Abrahams, Michael Brooks, Natalie Butler, Graham Davis, Gloria Escoffery, Milton George, Royan Grey, Ken Spencer, Roy Stephenson, PJ Stewart, Lloyd Van Pitterson, Barrington Watson, and Allan Zion Johnson.
Douglas Reid of the Grosvenor Gallery will conduct the auction while proceeds will benefit the Archbishop Samuel Carter Foundation as well as the Campion College Vision 2020 Campaign, which assists in funding for the development of the school, with priority being The Jonathan Stewart Library — Jamaica’s first modern library media centre — and the renovation of its junior science labs. Tickets for the reception are J$5000 and are available at the school.
