Cocktails With – Tracy Spence
Sparkling in aquamarine, Tracy Spence, Portfolio Manager at the National Commercial Bank Capital Markets, is absolutely thrilled to be celebrating with Shelleyanne Edwards and her cousin Andrew Spence who followed their Wednesday-morning wedding at the St Andrew Parish Church last week with a relaxed reception in Stony Hill. She’s sipping stylishly and sharing cocktails with us. Here’s what she has to say.
What are you sipping?
A lychee martini.
What kind of day are you having?
I’m actually having a pretty stressful day. I have an exam tomorrow (Thursday) that I was actually trying to study for since the wedding.
How are you finding the reception?
It’s nice, I’m enjoying the chill vibe and the décor…it encourages you to lounge.
Socialite or homebody?
I’m a mixture of both — quite moody, actually.
Flats or stilettos?
I’ve been blessed with height so I don’t need stilettos; flats all the way!
What’s your style?
Casual chic.
Who does your hair?
Angela Fuller at the Pulse complex, 38 Trafalgar Road.
Who does your nails?
Diane, at the same place.
What perfume are you spraying?
Circus by Britney Spears.
What’s in your clutch?
My BlackBerry is a must, also my car keys and lipgloss or chap stick.
What’s in your car stereo?
Zip 103 FM and a dancehall CD is in the player.
What’s your idea of the perfect date?
A romantic dinner on the beach for the two of us; throw in a gorgeous sunset and I’m good.
What’s your idea of the perfect man?
Tall and dark with a great sense of humour; he must be loving, intelligent and possess superb communication skills.
What’s your latest obsession?
My Amazon Kindle.
You’re a reader?
I wasn’t really before the Kindle, it’s amazing.
What titles are you feeling?
Anything by Nicholas Sparks; Eat, Pray, Love is a must-read as well as all the Twilight books.
Team Edward or Jacob?
Edward; who’s Jacob? (Laughs) Edward is my heartbeat.
Where is the best place to find you?
Home!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
Be true to yourself and life will be true to you.
What’s the best piece of advice you have to give?
The same.
Who or what inspires you?
My mother, Master Blender for J Wray & Nephew, Joy Spence. She has a successful career and not once did she compromise being a mother; she’s absolutely wonderful.
What projects are you currently working on?
As it relates to work, the aim is to invest more money and meet the targets. Personally, my goal is to get fitter.
And 10 years from now?
Hopefully, to be the CEO and have my own swimsuit line; most of the swimsuits I wear are designed by yours truly but made by Mushroom.
