Anyone for a slice of Pammy?
She’s long used her body as a commercial object, and now Pamela Anderson has taken things a step further by carving it up in a butcher-style advert.
The model is divided into chunks of meat in the poster by animal charity Peta. The former Baywatch star, a committed vegetarian, is pictured wearing nothing but a tiny bikini. The poster proclaims: “All animals have the same body parts” and the provocative display is part of Peta’s efforts to encourage people to become vegetarians.
Anderson was in London to unveil the poster at a photo call outside the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden on Sunday.
The glamour model believed the poster’s message was an important one. She said: “The biggest issue that I like to talk about is the cruelty that goes into killing animals for slaughter. I want to talk about the flesh part of it all, so we thought this would be a great parody — the butcher ad and being in a bikini – drawing attention to it and realising that we all have the same parts.” Dan Mathews, Peta’s senior vice president, said Anderson was the perfect choice for the campaign. “As Peta’s “weapon of mass distraction,” Pamela has lured legions of pop culture junkies to Peta’s website and sparked interest in animal issues in a very unique way.”

It’s Mr and Mrs Brand: First image of the newlyweds as they head off on honeymoon
After marrying in an ultra-private ceremony on Saturday, newlyweds Katy Perry and Russell Brand broke cover yesterday as they headed off on honeymoon. The happy couple appeared to be dressed in Indian-style clothing as they took a helicopter ride to Jaipur’s airport, where they then boarded a private jet for their honeymoon.
Following five days of celebrations with their family and friends, the pair are believed to be heading off to the Maldives for some alone time. And their nuptials weren’t the only cause for celebration — Perry turned 26 yesterday. The couple, who started dating 13 months ago, married in a ceremony combining both Indian and Christian tradition near the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary in Rajasthan. The couple’s representatives confirmed: “They were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23.”

Amy Winehouse has always been regarded in the fashion industry as something of a style icon, so it comes as no surprise that she has collaborated with her favourite label Freddy Perry on a new collection. Six months after the announcement, Amy, who launched the line with a secret gig at their London store last week, looked stunning and fresh-faced as she modelled the demure new 50s-inspired range. The 17-piece apparel and accessories collection include a grey pencil skirt, black bowling shirt and pink polo top. Retailing between £22 and £100, the affordable clothes will be sold at Fred Perry stores and some concessions. Amy recently revealed in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar that she was honoured to have been approached by Fred Perry to design the collection. “I knew exactly what I wanted,” she said, “and I love Fred Perry so much. I was honoured that they would even ask, ‘Do you want to come and do a line?’ Me?”
