‘Fur’ real
Do it yourself
Seeing fur in a fabric store in Jamaica may be a bit puzzling, but if you channel your creativity, this may not be too far-fetched. What’s even better is that it’s politically correct fur…faux. We saw one such type of fabric here in Jamaica and fell in love with the look and more importantly with the feel of it; soft, smooth and inviting, and the thought came to us to make floor rugs.
These are great for cosying up a family room, a bedroom or as a floor mat for babies and can also be used to make other accents such as throws or pillows. So before you frown at the idea, feel the fabric and you too will be taking some of it to the checkout counter.
