“As a woman that appreciates the finer things in life but without all the resources to have all I want, I really am grateful for the few things I can absolutely not live without under any circumstances.

I definitely CANNOT live without my Digicel BlackBerry Bold. It is as robust as I am and fits my personality perfectly. As a PR practitioner, I need to always be in the know about absolutely everything. My BB allows me to get all my email, my news updates, entertainment hot spots; as my 135 BB contacts and my online social network (OSN) have minutely status updates. My BB was stolen in 2009 and I literally twitched and heard faint “PINGS” as I slept.

In addition to my BB, my laptop allows me to complete my various assignments in a timely manner and it’s always in my possession. I also need to attend impromptu events and meetings on a daily basis, so I would just absolutely wrinkle away without my make-up kit, which includes my Milani eyeliners and lipliners, Iman foundation and finishing cream with two different flavours of Victoria’s Secret lipgloss and, of course, Maybelline mascara. One day I forgot to put on make-up and my entire office thought I was sick…they were just not used to my ‘natural’ face. I must always have baby wipes in my handbag to wipe the germs I may come in contact with and just to cool down my sweaty palms.

All this is complete with my constant chewing of Trident gum and an extra pair of slippers — you never know when a shoe heel may break or if your look will need to be altered from professional to casual — in my huge work bag. My entire existence would be compromised without these essential items.”
