It’s a boy! Alicia Keys and husband welcome their first child together into the world
Congratulations are in order for Alicia Keys and her husband, Swizz Beatz. Keys gave birth to the couple’s first child, a little boy they have named Egypt Dean.
The proud new father expressed his excitement about the arrival on his Twitter page: “I’m so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life wowwwwww,” he wrote. Keys gave birth at New York’s St Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital late Thursday night. Keys married the 32-year-old rap producer, real name Kaseem Dean, July 31, shortly after announcing that they were expecting.
The nuptials were held in Corsica in front of close friends including Queen Latifah and U2 rocker Bono, and presided over by Deepak Chopra. The couple met when they collaborated to write and produce Million Dollar Baby for Whitney Houston’s seventh studio album, I Look To You. When they met Beatz was still married to his first wife, Mashonda. They went public as a couple in May 2009, and Beatz has emphatically denied that their relationship had anything to do with the break-up of his marriage. He recently spoke of his love for 29-year-old Keys, saying that he felt “blessed” to be married to her. “It’s a blessing, I look at my relationship with my wife as a union that’s just connected… spiritually. I’m a better man. I think that having love in your life has that effect, because then you spread love. You can’t enjoy love without spreading it.” he told MTV.com. Although Egypt is the first child for the couple, Beatz has three other children from previous relationships, two sons, Prince Nasir Dean, 10, Kasseem Dean Jr, four and a one-year-old daughter.

Rapper TI headed back to prison for 11 months
A federal judge revoked rapper TI’s probation on Friday and ordered him back to prison for 11 months. The Atlanta native, whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr, was in federal court following his arrest last month in Los Angeles on suspicion of drug possession. He was on probation after serving 10 months behind bars on federal weapons charges.
“I think Mr Harris had about the limit of second chances,” US District Court Judge Charles Pannell Jr said, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. During the hearing, TI begged Pannell not to send him back to prison, saying he needed to get help for drug addiction. “I want drugs out of my life. If I can get the treatment and counselling I need … I can beat this,” TI told the judge, according to US attorney spokesman Patrick Crosby. “I need help. For me, my mother, my kids, I need the court to give me mercy.” Pannell wasn’t swayed by the rapper’s plea. The judge had said TI’s sentence was an “experiment” he hoped to replicate if it worked. The rapper was allowed to stay out of prison while performing 1,000 hours of community service, mostly talking with schoolchildren about the dangers of gangs, drugs and violence.

Smiling again: Elin Nordegren obviously doesn’t need Tiger’s private jet to make her happy
The estimated $100-million divorce settlement she was awarded probably helps keep her spirits up. Either way, Elin Nordegren was the picture of happiness as she landed in Los Angeles last night. Tiger Woods’ gorgeous ex-wife flew into LAX on a commercial flight and looked thrilled to be returning to normal life. Leaving her children at home in Orlando, the beautiful blonde hopped on a Virgin America flight, not bothering with VIP transport, and she couldn’t stop smiling as she was greeted by a female friend at the airport.
It was her first out-of-state trip since the divorce from Tiger became final. Although the 30-year-old mother-of-two had regularly used the private jet while married to Tiger, she seemed none the worse for giving it up. “Elin has had this trip planned for about a week and even though she could easily afford a private jet she never even considered it. She’s a very rich woman but she doesn’t act like it,” a source told US website RadarOnline. “They [Elin and Tiger] are getting along fine, they’ve had no issues now that the marriage is over,” the source said.
