‘I’ve said too much’ — David Arquette
They were the revelations that probably made Courteney Cox scream, and now, after her estranged husband David Arquette broadcast embarrassing remarks about their sex life, he took to Twitter to apologise for saying too much.
Arquette appeared on shock jock Howard Stern’s radio show on Tuesday — revealing in the racy chat that the couple had ceased intimate relations months ago and that he had been with another woman “once, maybe twice”. The Scream actor told the show host that his encounter with aspiring actress Jasmine Waltz, 28, made him feel “manly”, but now it would appear the embattled star is feeling more guilty than anything else.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Arquette, 39, said: “Thank you all for your love and support at this time. I’m trying figuring out how to be the best person I can be, but it’s been a process of trial and error. I went on Howard Stern yesterday to provide clarity and honesty about what I’m experiencing, but while doing that I shared too much. It’s all right for me to be honest about my own feelings, but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled.” He finished his tweet with the statement: “I’m sure Courteney and myself will emerge from this painful time better people for what we’ve learned.”
