Model Aspiration…Editorial
Rock the Cloth, this week, features fashion editorial looks worn by Hanna-Kay Lettman, winner of the Caribbean Model Search Fashion Model category. This week’s look includes a long lace formal dress and swimwear: both shot on location at Villa Ronai.
If you’re inspired to do your own fashion photo shoot, splurge on the photographer and save on the looks by ‘rocking the cloth’.
Last week we provided the steps for the long strapless dress, and again we feature a long strapless dress today. However, the different fabric types require a few differences in construction. Note the differences in the steps for creating a strapless dress from a non-stretch fabric.
Steps:
1. Cut dress front and back
2. Join the back from the position at the base of the zipper to the hemline
3. Join the front to the back at the sides
*These steps are done for both the lining and outer fabric.
4. Insert zipper
5. Finish seams and hem
*The silhouette of the dress may be changed based on the cut to achieve (a) an A-line, (b) straight, or (c) fit-and-flare look.
Congrats Hanna, and good luck!
