Techie’s Night Out…take 3
Still raving about last year’s Fashion’s Night Out experience, Dolkeith Harriott, manager of Innovative Systems Limited Superstore in Sovereign Centre, is confident that techies will once again revel in the bargains on offer come September 10.
“It was good…no, excellent. We did not hesistate to jump back on board,” said an excited Harriott who spoke to Thursday Tech on Tuesday, “we found that a lot of people saved tons of money by buying more for less.”
“The level of sales we had for FNO was equivalent to an extra day’s profit,” Harriott shared, noting that the store will, this year, be upping the ante with regards to its offerings.
“We’re gonna be slashing prices on laptops, personal computers, modems and so much more,” the manager added, noting, too, that Innovative Systems will be offering up to 30 per cent discount on ALL items in stock.
“Last year we offered Windows Vista at an incredible rate, now things have change and the new operating system is Windows 7, which will also be on offer for FNO,” Harriott said.
Another tech oasis, Watts New on Tropical Plaza, is also under the stylish Fashion’s Night Out umbrella.
“We are offering the latest in cutting-edge technology,” said Watts New Limited GM Stacey Randle, “and for FNO it’s all about getting the same quality items for less.”
And by quality, she means a veritable collection of top tech brands like Microsoft, Apple, Dell, Lenovo, Toshiba and Compaq to name a few.
“We’re slashing prices, making it more affordable to our clients across three of our locations,” Randle said, outlining that participating branches include Ocho Rios, Tropical Plaza in Kingston and Fair View, Montego Bay.
“We will be offering between 15 and 70 discount on selected items,” she said.
And what items will she and her team be selecting?
“Video game consoles (Wii and Xbox), MP3/4 players, netbooks, laptops, sleeves, bags and other computer accessories,” Randle added.
Randle said, too, the store will be offering special prizes and surprises for lucky customers and plans to make Watts New’s first FNO showing a memorable one.
Randle told Thursday Tech that Watts New and Digicel, official telecoms sponsors of Fashion’s Night Out, will be partnering to offer Digicel 4G Broadband bundles.
“To put it simple, customers who opt to subscribe to 4G on the night will have a chance to pair the service with a netbook/laptop and carrying bag,” she said, “it’s going to be fabulous!”
