Getting Ready For FNO
The Jamaica Observer brought you the country’s first-ever Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) in October last year, where boutique owners, restaurants and salons opened their doors until 10:00 pm to offer discounts and treats to their customers for one night only. This year, FNO is back on September 10 — and we’re delighted to be included in this global extravaganza initiated by fashion bible VOGUE. The stores are now preparing for another fantastic event, and Threads & Trends spoke to two of our participants — Michael Ammar Jr of Ammar’s and the ever so charming Barbara Smith of Angela’s boutique, to see what they have in store for their customers on Fashion’s Night Out.
Barbara Smith – Manager, Angela’s
“We are very happy to be a part of Fashion’s Night Out once again, and there’s a lot in store for our customers. We are offering 15 – 70 % discounts on all items displayed as we did last year, as well as prizes and surprises galore.
Our make-up pro Delores Brown will also be on spot to conduct make-up sessions and she’ll be selling make-up, disposables and other tools of the trade at very reasonable prices.”
Michael Ammar Jr – Director, Ammar’s
“Ammar’s is very pleased to be a part of Fashion’s Night Out this year, and again we were the first retailer to sign up for it as we were the first last year. We are offering 15 – 50% discounts on the night as well as throughout the weekend, and we will also be having special in-store entertainment for our customers on the night of Fashion’s Night Out.”
