Little Miami hunt semi-final berth
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Little Miami could become the second semi-finalist and first from Zone A today when they take on Reggae Youths at the UDC field in a St James Football Association Claro Division One third-round game.
Little Miami lead Zone A with 23 points and need only a draw today to secure a place in the top four and join Zone B winners Montego Bay Boys Club.
Little Miami are in a three-team race for the two semi-final spots along with Juniors FC who are on 20 points and will face Seaview at Albion and Rosemount FC (17 points) who face Boys Club at Mt Salem.
Little Miami are coming off a 1-0 win over Champion and a back-to-back win today would help them secure zone honours.
Juniors were held to a 1-1 draw by Zone B contenders Reggae Youths last week, but are expected to get by Seaview today.
Rosemount started the season on fire but have cooled off and are still in with a shot for one of the two semi-final places. However, they will have their hands full with Boys Club, the best team so far in the competition.
Boys Club have won 11 of their 12 games played so far and have scored 35 goals and will give Rosemount all they can handle.
