Dear Editor,

The only thing this lame-duck PM can do for Jamaica right now is to resign. There is nothing Bruce can do for this country to make it sweet again. Because of the PM, our country’s name is in the gutter all over the world, from Helsinki to Paris to London to New York to Brussels. The other leaders of the world won’t feel good doing business with Bruce Golding. Can you imagine Bruce talking in front of world leaders at the UN? How would they see the Jamaican prime minister? Would they take him seriously?

He kept this extradition issue going too long and caused tension to build up in the already desperate people of our beloved nation. I removed my Jamaican flag from my car before leaving Brussels for New York this week because it is better to be an alien at this moment. Of course, the country will go through bad times and we shouldn’t turn our backs on it. Anyway, self-inflicted bad news is too much for the Jamaican people to handle.

This great nation is going to bounce back because our people will not sit idly by while corrupt politicians try their very best to turn us into the Somalia of the Caribbean. I hope we are seeing the end of gutter politics and garrisons.
