Advice for PM
Dear Editor,
Apart from Jamaicans for Justice, there have been predictable calls from historically anti-JLP activists, including most of our journalists, for the resignation of the PM. That is why on the ground, the call is hollow. Unfortunately, those are the voices being heeded by Mr Golding. There is not one vox pop that I have heard that on a whole is not 50/50 in support of him.
The presenters, writers and editors are only calling on pro-PNP analysts who usually express a point that the whole country wants him “to do this and that”.
Mr Golding needs to listen to the ordinary people. He needs to be decisive and strong. He needs to be visionary, able to see and predict events. He needs to quell speculations at every opportunity rather than going into hiding so often. Regrettably, he hasn’t been a strong person before, so he won’t be able to say “No” to anybody, and the PNP will be his “worst nightmare” seeking victims to represent, as that’s the PNP’s style from the early 70s.
