Do penance, PM
Dear Editor,
Now that the prime minister has personally confessed to “some” of the truth, he is now indecently exposed to the whole world. This co-mingling of government and party is unacceptable, unstatesmanlike, and perhaps unpatriotic.
The two Manleys and Sir Alexander Bustamante must be squirming in their graves at the nadir of their beloved country. Similarly, those of us who are above ground have never felt so low in spirits as the good name of Jamaica lies in the dust.
Mea culpa is not enough. Lighting a candle, singing a sankey and turning a roll cannot do it.
Penance! Bruce should go to the Blue Mountain Peak for a year, sans garments but with bread and water, a candle or two, and there search for his soul. If he finds it let him come down again and stay away from politics.
Who is capable of repairing the damage?
