Naomi Campbell displays results of her strict Maple Syrup Diet
Naomi Campbell recently revealed that she diets on a cocktail of Maple syrup, cayenne pepper, lemon juice and water.
And the supermodel — who turns 40 later this month — put the results of her incredibly strict regime on show in a striped bikini as she holidayed in Miami, Monday. She looked trim and lean as she frolicked aboard a luxury yacht with her boyfriend, Russian multi-millionaire Vladislav Doronin. Naomi famously claimed in 1999 that she “never diets”, but more than a decade on she confessed on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show that maintaining her slim frame isn’t easy. She revealed she regularly turns to the extreme Maple Syrup Diet, which involves consuming under 600 calories a day. “I try to do this three times a year,” she said. “The most I’ve ever done it for is 18 days. It’s good just to clean out your body once in a while.”
Naomi’s devotion to the diet is fully supported by her long-term partner. Indeed, Doronin, whom she calls her fitness guru, has been an ally in helping her resist the temptations of food. “If there is bread on the table, he’s like: ‘Don’t eat bread’,” she said. The Maple Syrup Diet is considered one of the most extreme and potentially dangerous weight-loss regimes. Fans of the diet, which essentially involves consuming only sugary water for days on end, say the combination of maple syrup and cayenne pepper speeds up the metabolism. Beyoncé Knowles and Gwyenth Paltrow are both known to have used the method to quickly shed extra weight. But the daily intake of under 600 calories — a third of the recommended amount for a woman — means it is low on energy.

Rihanna rocks London tour . . . but still finds the energy to go clubbing until 4am
After putting on an energetic two-hour concert, you couldn’t blame Rihanna for wanting to head back to her hotel for a much needed rest.
But after performing to a sell-out crowd at London’s O2 Arena, it appeared the Bajan singer was so fired up she headed off into the West End for a spot of clubbing. With youth on her side, the 22-year-old singer managed to find the energy to party at Mahiki in Mayfair until 4am Tuesday morning. Last night marked the singer’s first gig in London after opening the UK leg of her Last Girl On Earth world tour in Birmingham on Friday night. While Rihanna has been touring, she’s been spending time with her new boyfriend, baseball player Matt Kemp.

Red alert: Catherine Zeta-Jones looks alarmingly thin in bold party dress
Catherine Zeta-Jones was seeking maximum attention as she stepped out in New York Monday night in bold red asymmetric dress.
And she got it — but not for the right reasons. The actress — once lauded for her enviable hourglass figure — looked a shadow of her former self as she attended a charity event with her husband Michael Douglas. Not even clever draping on the stylish frock was enough to conceal her dramatically reduced frame. The Welsh brunette appeared gaunt and boney, sparking fresh concerns for her health. Catherine has been steadily shrinking in recent months, which is likely the result of performing in A Little Night Music on Broadway eight times a week. But stress is thought to be a factor too — she has been supporting her husband in the wake of his son Cameron’s five-year jail sentencing for drug dealing.
