Chef Marco Pierre White is coming!
Celebrated British chef and restaurateur Marco Pierre White will be the guest at this year’s staging of the Jamaica Observer Food Awards on May 27 on the East Lawns of Devon House.
Recognised by patrons and peers alike as one of the most formidable and creative personalities in international cuisine, White owns a total of six restaurants including: Steak & Alehouse, Kings Road Steak House & Grill, Wheeler’s of St James, Yew Tree Inn, Frankies and Marco. White also features in the hit reality TV cooking show Marco’s Kitchen Burnout and Hell’s Kitchen, which both involve contestants facing off under extreme pressure to meet the demands of hard-to-please restaurant diners.
White’s accolades also include becoming Head Chef and joint owner of Harveys — at just 24 years old — with a kitchen staff comprising young Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal, who was recently named Chef of the Decade.
What’s more, the good chef was awarded his third Michelin star at 33 years of age — the first British chef to achieve this honour.
