Clarification
Dear Editor
On reviewing the full text of the Opposition leader’s recent budget presentation, specifically the section that describes the government’s 2010-2011 budget as “incredible – not credible at all”, I wish to clear up a foggy assertion in my article of April 26, “What a woe my country, what a woe!”
While Mrs Simpson Miller used the words “incredible” and “not credible” in assessing the lack of credibility of government’s budget, she did not say the budget was “incredibly not credible” as I asserted in the article. Furthermore, it is clear from the script that her use of both words was not “clumsily tautologous” as my article suggests. Her exact quote reads: “This budget is incomplete, incoherent and it is incredible – not credible at all.”
