BETTER GET CRACKING!
AS many of us should know, external examinations are right around the corner. Therefore, preparations should have begun already and studying sessions should be in full gear (although, I’m sure, there are still persons out there who are waiting until the last minute to do so). Nevertheless, whether you have started preparing or not, here are some helpful tips to help get you cracking.
1. Have a study schedule. Be sure to study the necessary materials for your various subjects. Going through past papers has been known to help students in preparing for their examinations, so get your hands on some past papers.
2. Get all the stationery you will need. Ensure that you have your pens, pencils and all other necessary items you may need for an examination. It is rather embarrassing to be borrowing in an exam (might I add, it is not allowed).
3. Get all dates and times of your examinations. You do not want to miss or be late for any of your exams. It is not worth it to work so hard for a whole year and then fail a subject.
4. Maybe one of the most important preparations to make is taking care of your mind and body before sitting examinations. It is important for teens, to be in good mental and physical condition for an exam. A small amount of stress can get you psyched, but too much mental or physical strain can be detrimental to your performance. The last thing you want to do is to sabotage your efforts by ignoring your well-being.
So ensure that you eat healthy and get enough sleep. Most importantly, have a positive attitude towards the test. Stay focused; go in there relaxed and ready and do your best.
