Bank needed
Dear Editor,
No more banking from the shores of Harbour View – well outside of the banking machines that are available, which are often out of service! The management of National Commercial Bank has decided to pull out of
Harbour View.
Whatever the reasons, did they really think hard about this before making that decision? What will our pensioners do now? What will all the workers in and around the area do? What will the businesses do? Notwithstanding that, the value of our properties will surely go down with the absence of a banking institution in our community.
We will all have to trek to the Windward Road branch of National Commercial Bank. With all that is happening now, will I feel safe transacting business at Windward Road, what with the nearby Bowerbanks community?
Bank of Nova Scotia, FirstCaribbean, RBTT, First Global, will you fill the gap?
