Crumbling from within
Dear Editor,
What Jamaicans are going through is not unique to us. Trials and tribulations are happening all over the world. However, the main problem is that the old guards just don’t want to let go so they engage in all manner of deception and corruption to hold on.
It’s hard to dismiss what is acting out right before our very eyes here in Jamaica and the rest of the world. Call it the hands of time or just plain evolution, the old money reign is almost over but the system that they set up is still hanging on. To understand this system, we only have to look at what is happening with how the new money era is now itself being stripped away and the disgraceful behaviour of what goes along with it.
I refer specifically to the inability of governments to protect their constituencies from the unscrupulous. Just look at what is happening in parliaments around the world. Their actions are not the business of the people.
Politicians handed out guns and created garrisons dividing the people, and the corporations and big business backed these politicians. Even in the US Congress, look at what is blatantly happening because a president of a new era tries to pass a health care law that will favour the masses and not the corporations.
By pure evolution of social engineering a new era is in process. The old guards of the new money are shamelessly eating off their own legs. Because they can’t adapt with the times they can’t see the big picture and they have resorted to sabotage. They can’t help themselves.
Now that the system of greed is finally feeding on itself, it is crumbling from within.
Governments as well as parents have a responsibility to manage their households, including their children. If they cannot they should not assume that position. If we all want to reach a better place, we must realise that we can’t reach there without us all reaching there together.
