Brutish behaviour

Dear Editor,

The women of the Jamaica Labour Party view with disgust the ungracious remark made to Senator Dorothy Lightbourne in the Senate recently by Senator KD Knight.

We have been watching the growing hostility that seems to have become the norm in the Senate where personal attacks are made against Senator Lightbourne.

This kind of brutish behaviour is unacceptable and must not be allowed to continue. People like KD Knight who have been in both Houses of Parliament know full well the decorum that is demanded of them.

We are ashamed of his behaviour towards Senator Lightbourne and would ask that stronger disciplinary measures be taken against those who think that they can behave as they want.
