Powerful SDA
Dear Editor,
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is said to be the fastest-growing denomination in the country. I think the reason that more people are drawn to the SDA church is because of the generosity and compassion they have time and again demonstrated to the less fortunate. The idea that after sundown Saturday “all hell breaks loose” does not hurt any. We should note that the SDA are no “follow-line band wagonist”. They are always upfront and centre in helping others.
This time – as always – they were the first religious group that came to the aid of others – as they did in the case of the Haitians who landed in Portland. The SDA Church is the Usain Bolt of all religious groups – leaving in the dust some cloaked in the robe of corruption. I share the view that over time the SDA will be a force to be reckoned with. Their influence on our government and nation will surpass all other religious groups. “By their fruit we shall know them”. Good going, SDA Church.
