Excellent beautification
Dear Editor,
The president and members of the Passage Fort Citizens’ Association recognise and appreciate the project to beautify the section of the road from Jose Marti to Food for the Poor and the junction of Mandela Highway and the turn-off to Portmore.
The president and members have high praise for the project and wish it the success it deserves. We admire the choice of plants and find them most suitable. The plants at the Junction of Mandela Highway include bougainvillea, lantana and other colourful ones.
The attempt at beautifying sections of the Six Miles junction and other areas by Mandela Highway are also recognised. We do hope that the plants will be allowed to thrive and not be stolen or destroyed. The projects should indeed be one of beauty and a joy to behold.
Members of the Passage Fort Community who have carried out similar beautification projects are also recognised. It is hoped that these members will continue their effort and expand their variety of plants. We also hope that these projects together will encourage others to start their own.
